1. Eligibility:

• The contest is open to St. Philomena parishioners of all ages and skill levels unless otherwise specified.

2. Theme and Purpose:

• Participants should create a logo that represents the Roman Catholic Church and St. Philomena's mission, vision, and values.

• The logo should be original and not infringe on any copyrights or trademarks.

3. Submission Requirements:

• Submit your logo design entry in a flat, 2-D presentation. It should be clearly visible on a white or black background (see example 1).

• Preferred Dimensions & Format: 800px X 640px, at 300 dpi or greater and in .png or .jpeg format.

• The design should be in full color and/or grayscale.

4. Deadline:

• Submissions must be sent to philomenawebsite@gmail.com by 11:59pm (HST) on Friday, March 1, 2024.

• Late entries will not be accepted.

5. Judging Criteria:

• Logos will be evaluated based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, and overall aesthetic appeal.

• The decision of the judges will be final and not subject to appeal.

6. Ownership and Usage Rights:

• By entering the contest, participants agree to transfer ownership of the winning logo to St. Philomena Parish.

• St. Philomena reserves the right to modify the winning design for its use.

• The winning design may be used in any medium, including print, digital, and promotional materials.

7. Disqualification:

• Entries that violate copyright or trademark laws, contain offensive content, or do not meet the specified requirements will be disqualified.

• St. Philomena reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason.

8. Public Voting:

• The winner will be selected by parishioner vote during the month of March 2024. Each parishioner will be given one vote.

9. Notification:

• Winners will be notified via email or another specified method, as determined by Fr. Paul Li and the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC).

• The winning design may be announced on St. Philomena's website and social media channels.

10. Privacy:

• Personal information provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of the contest and will not be shared or sold to third parties.

11. Changes to Rules:

• St. Philomena reserves the right to modify contest rules or cancel the contest if necessary, with notification to participants.
